Khloe Kardashian Shames Ciara For Being Celibate With Russell Wilson

Khloe Kardashian shamed Ciara for being celibate on Wednesday’s “Kocktails With Khloe.”

With guests including Cassie, Kardashian had candid discussions about sex and romance. She brought up the topic of celibacy vows, suggesting it’s a recent trend among some celebrities. But the reality star criticized Ciara and boyfriend Russell Wilson for choosing to abstain from sex.

“They should be having sex. With all due respect to Ciara, she has a baby,” Kardashian argued. “It’s not like we don’t know if she is a virgin or not.” She went on to say, “None of us would know about it they weren’t publicly telling us that they are practicing celibacy, so who are you trying to prove this to? Is it a look?”

Ciara and Wilson began dating last April, nearly a year after she welcomed a son with former fiancé Future. In July, the Seattle Seahawks player revealed during a church Q&A that he and Ciara would not have sex until if and when they marry, and explained that it was his idea. Since then, the topic seems to come up in every interview they do, together or apart, and they have mostly cited their religious faith as the reasoning behind the decision.

Gossip Cop finds it interesting, though, that Kardashian essentially slammed Ciara for choosing not to have sex around the same time her sister Kim is getting slut-shamed for being too sexual. One would expect Kardashian to respect what anyone chooses to do with his or her body, not just her own family. It’s worth noting, though, that this “Kocktails with Khloe” episode was likely taped before this week’s controversy with Kim’s nude selfies erupted.
Update: Kardashian later tweeted it’s so “frustrating how people misconstrue my words!” She added, “I love&adore Ciara! I respect her on many levels. Was freely discussing my views on celibacy&people twist & turn everything 2create a feud.”
